“We just had the Rocky Mountain Bull Bash PBR here in Steamboat Springs over Labor Day weekend,” says Debbie Duncan of KBCR. “Of course we love George Strait and ‘How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls’ even mentions Steamboat! Garth Brooks proves he is 'More Than a Memory' but I never had any doubts! KBCR listeners love this one! Cody McCarver's latest, ‘Through God's Eyes’ is not only the naked truth about his life but a complete truth for those who believe. We all look the same through God's eyes.”
— Debbie Duncan, KBRC
"'Through God's Eyes' has had the most positive response of all of Cody's songs that we have played on The BULL! When we put it to the test, not one person voted against it. That has never happened before!"
— Roger McCoy, WYBL, Ashtabula, Ohio
“Cody McCarver’s ‘Through God’s Eyes’ is a real hit,” says Jay Walker of KTTI. “Great message, great vocals, great song, everyone should be on this one.”
— Jay Walker, KTTI
“Here is what’s hot at KIX country,” says Doris Day of KXIA. “Taylor Swift's ‘Our Song’
has everyone singing and Craig Morgan's ‘International Harvester’ hit home here in Central Iowa. On the ‘New Tune @ Two’ the Bellamy Brothers’ ‘Drug Problem’ was a 100% Play as was Cody McCarver's ‘Through God's Eyes.’”
— Doris Day, KXIA
"Brilliantly mixed. His warm, conversational vocal is right up front, all the better to convey the lyric of this exceptional story song. It sounds like he’s speaking the truth directly to you."
— Robert Oreman Review
"The CD is great! I love the passion and the soul you put into it. It’s got a great ‘Outlaw’ sound…Very cool to see you make time for the Kids down there as well."
— Thom Abraham, The Thom Abraham Show, ESPN 106.7 The Fan-Nashville
"What a GREAT song (Through God's Eyes)! What a GREAT way to turn a difficult personal situation into a way to help others."
— Ron Brooks, Program Director, WNOE New Orleans LA.
"'Red Flag' lit up the phones from the very first play! It's a HUGE request song for us."
— Bill "Dex" Poindexter Music Director WUSY US101 Chattanooga, TN.
"If your daughter comes home with her new boyfriend and his first name is PARTY...That's a red flag! Finally! Some fun tempo!!!!"
— Party Marty Music Director WTHI Terre Haute, IN.
"Not only is this a great honky tonk country song, but it's an anthem for women who ALWAYS pick the 'wrong' guy!!! Cody nails it on this song - A fun song that's certain to have all the girls who should have seen the 'Red Flag' singing along!!! It's got my vote!! I took it right into the studio to be 'aired'!!"
— Susie Martin, Music Director WATZ Alpena, MI
"Cody McCarver's music meets his lifestyle and personality: honest country music. He's a talented musician, singer, and songwriter, and what one might refer to as 'The Real Deal'."
— Tracy Nicole, Afternoon Radio Personality, KYKC-FM, Ada, OK.
"You have a great voice and I love 'The Chosen One', I think it sounds better than the Sopranos version....and that's saying a lot because I dug that tune."
— Joann, Costume Pattern Maker and Tailor for the HBO Series Deadwood
"Cody's 'Red Flag' and 'Redneck Love' will stir that redneck spirit in ya....no matter who you are. If you aren't fired up about these two songs by the second and third time you hear 'em, your wood is wet."
— Roger McCoy, Program Director, 98.3 The BULL (WYBL-FM) Ashtabula, Ohio
"I've had the opportunity to listen to your CD a few times and I have to say that I LOVE The Chosen One, Red Flag and Sunset Blvd. These should be on the radio right now!!"
— Bossey (Debbie) Frog, General Manager, Froggy 103.7 (WFGE-FM) Murray, Kentucky
"I love everything he's done so far! He really puts the teeth marks of a true outlaw back into Country Music. Waylon, Willie, Hank, and the rest would be proud."
— Connie Downes, Ohio

Cody McCarver has the type of problem that 95 per cent of the guys playing the back room at Tootsie’s in Nashville wish they had. McCarver is the guy who recorded “Red Flag,” a fabulous modern country cautionary song about the “red flags” a woman should watch for when they meet, and start to become involved, with a man. It’s catchy, funny, and true. I have two daughters, one 19 and one 9 going on 15, and I will tell you right now that I am going to have both of them listen to “Red Flag” and commit it to memory before I let either of them out of the house with anything with a bulge in their trousers.

Randy Jones from WDHR Program Director
Randy Jones, program director/music director at WDHR (Pikeville, Kentucky) is a believer in McCarver's power to compete. “Cody McCarver delivers a solid sound, as country as country can be,” says Jones. “Whether it's an original or a cover, his soul is poured into every note, just the way country should be. You have to be country to sing country, and Cody McCarver is country.
Quote from Jim Quinto WPPL
When I think of Cody McCarver I think of a singer who is honest and true to the song he's singing. Just one listen to his hit "Though Gods Eyes" will tell you what kind of man he is. He also has a fun side to his performance as witnessed by his hit "Red Flag" and Cody can take a classic hit like Rod Stewarts "Tonights the Night" and make his own. Cody is great singer and an even better person. I highly recommend him as an artist and a friend.

CODY MCCARVER'S “TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT” MAKES MUSIC ROW'S TOP 20
The Rod Stewart-Penned Number A Natural Fit In The Country Format

NASHVILLE, TN-September 16, 2008-Country music rebel Cody McCarver moved into Music Row magazine's Top 20 chart last week and is spending his second week at No. 18 with “Tonight's The Night.” The song, a remake of the Rod Stewart-penned pop mega-hit and a risk for any artist to record, showcases McCarver's country edge and his ability to make a cover tune his own. According to Music Row, McCarver's position marks the highest of any small label artist since Pirates Of The Mississippi's No. 18 with “Fishbait.”
Impacting the Top 20 on Music Row's chart is a milestone for McCarver, a partner in his small independent record label. “The marketplace has become increasingly competitive for the smaller labels,” notes McCarver's manager Keith Andrews, also a partner in the label. “Cody is authentic and his delivery on this single is convincing. That fact has made it easy for radio programmers to support both the artist and the song. Both have made that magic connection with country radio and its listeners. We're celebrating this milestone, but we're raising the bar and still working toward the next one. We don't take any of this for granted.”
You have to be country to sing country, and Cody McCarver is country.”
Jim Quinton, music director at WPPL-FM (Blue Ridge, Georgia) agrees: “Cody McCarver is honest and true to the song he's singing. One listen to his hit 'Through God's Eyes' will tell you what kind of man he is. He also has a fun side to his performance as witnessed by 'Red Flag,' and Cody can take a pop classic and make it his own as he did with Rod Stewart's 'Tonight's The Night.' Cody is a great singer and an even better person.”
“Real” is the word McCarver says best self-describes him and his music. It's something he has in common with Stewart and one of the reasons he chose to record “Tonight's The Night.” “I've always loved Rod Stewart's music and 'Tonight's The Night' in particular, but the more important reason I picked the song to record is because it was a favorite of my father's growing up. My dad has made a lot of good calls in his lifetime. Also, it's odd, but my record producer's wife wrote a suggestion on a piece of paper and put it on his desk. The note said, 'Cody should record 'Tonight's The Night.' I didn't know this until after we had recorded it. All of the elements and all of the reasons just came together on this one.”
McCarver's previous singles include “Red Flag” and “Through God's Eyes,” both of which reached the Top 25 on Music Row. These two singles garnered him two awards, Music Row's Independent Artist award and Music Row's Independent Breakout Artist Of The Year award. The “Red Flag” video reached No. 1 on CMT Pure's “Pure 12-Pack” countdown. McCarver fans can download “Tonight's The Night” for free by visiting the www.codymccarver.com website.
